Swami Vivekananda defines education as ‘the manifestation of the perfection already in man.’ The aim of education is to manifest in our lives the perfection, which is the very nature of our inner self. He strongly believed that the end of all education endeavor is man making, i.e., a harmonious development of the body, mind and soul.
We, at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, believe that every human being is empowered to develop to his or her best potential, by rousing the awareness of his or her true self.
We see this empowerment as the distinguishing feature of all our educational effort. The Gurukul, which is a dynamic entity, always strives towards progressing with the needs of our times.
We understand that it requires a ‘Gurukul Atmosphere’ of sharing and caring, where the values of love, freedom, sincerity and justice are experienced and lived out by all and, where striving for excellence to the level of one’s potential is an essential element.
We lay a lot of emphasis on the environment at home and school for the proper growth of the child. The parents as well as the teachers should inspire the child by the way they live their lives. Our quest for excellence in the overall development of a child takes precedence over all other motivations.
We recognize and strongly affirm that education is the process by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, and intellect is sharpened, as a result of which one can stand on one’s feet and face the challenges of the modern day society.
For the last 16 years, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Chala, has been working towards achieving these goals. We strive to give Quality Education through our numerous activities. We have also given 100% result in the academic field and have created a name for ourselves in this area of South Gujarat. This has been possible by the grace of Lord Shree Swaminarayan and with the hearty co-operation of parents, donors and well-wishers.
We have a lot to accomplish in the near future. Let us march together, hand in hand with a bright vision, towards making a glorious tomorrow for our children.
